One price, two ways to have it
Push-In Panes, £199 per square metre. You fit them yourself, and fitting takes minutes. No tools, no screws, no drilling. Our patent-pending flexible seal holds each panel snugly in the window recess, and panels lift out just as easily for cleaning or summer storage.
Whole Pane with installation, £199 per square metre plus 25% for professional fitting. Simpler panels, and we come and install them for you. Ideal if you’d rather not measure and fit yourself, or for larger or awkward windows.
Optional extras: a living hinge Opening Pane adds £15 per pane, allowing the panel to swing open for ventilation without removing it entirely. and a breather vent adds £5.

How does it compare with double glazing?
Replacing single glazed windows in a traditional Scottish home is expensive. Like-for-like timber sash and case replacements regularly cost £1,500 to £3,000 per window, and in a conservation area the joinery specification pushed by planning can take that higher still. Standard uPVC is cheaper but usually refused for listed buildings, and it changes the character of a granite or stone home.
Secondary glazing achieves a similar thermal improvement for a fraction of the cost, keeps your original windows exactly as they are, and needs no planning permission in almost all cases. Our panels sit discreetly inside the window recess, so from the street your home looks unchanged.

Traditional aluminium-framed secondary glazing also needs an installer to drill and screw frames into your window surrounds. InGlaze needs neither the metal frame nor the drilling, which is why the price is so different.
Listed buildings and conservation areas
This is where secondary glazing makes the most financial sense. If your home is listed, replacing the windows is often simply not permitted, and where it is, the approved specification can run to tens of thousands of pounds across a whole house. Secondary glazing gives you warm, draught-free rooms without touching the historic fabric, which is why Historic Environment Scotland recognises it as an appropriate improvement for traditional buildings.

Will it pay for itself?
